WHO WE ARE
We believe the built environment is a part of God’s redemptive work and can be a tool in the effective communication of the gospel and in facilitating the work of missionaries.
Partner Architects is part of a global community of Youth With A Mission ministries. It is also one of several services provided to missionaries under the ministry of MBI.
MBI is one of thousands of YWAM ministries committed to knowing God and making Him known. MBI (formerly known as Mission Builders International) was founded in 1978 and exists to see YWAM locations thrive by connecting volunteers with the needs of YWAM ministries and by providing unique and contexualized professional resources. These resources include legal and financial consulting, leadership development, security consulting, debriefing, strategic growth training, and architectural design.
Partner Architects, a ministry of MBI, was founded by Ross Lackey in 2020. Ross began practicing architecture after graduating from Auburn University in 2001. He spent 11 years designing commercial, civic, and residential projects in the Northwest and Southeast United States. In 2012, he and his family moved to Montana to join YWAM and serve as the architectural director for a ministry providing architectural services for local non-profits and international mission organizations. He now serves as the director of Partner Architects and lives with his wife and 3 kids down the road from the YWAM Montana-Lakeside campus.
Youth With A Mission, or YWAM (pronounced WHY-wham), is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. As one of the largest mission organizations in the world, it is involved in everything from bible distribution to discipleship schools and pastor training to street evangelism. YWAM reaches out in 180+ countries through three main areas- Evangelism, Training and Mercy Ministry.
